Danceathon 2026

Despite being a shorter event, this year’s Danceathon exceeded all expectations! The quality of choreography and performances was at a level we haven’t previously seen, with exceptional creativity and costumes to match.

Each form worked incredibly hard to perfect their dances, and their performances on the day were amazing, which made things very difficult for the judging panel!

The Year 7 competition was won by 7M with their performance to Luther Vandross’ “Never too much”, but only after a dance-off to break a tie with 7R!

The Year 8 competition was won by 8T, who danced to a Backstreet Boys/Gwen Stefani mash-up.

The Year 9 competition was won by 9C, who had a carefully choreographed routine to a Michael Jackson mash up.

The Year 10 competition was very close, with 10M beating 10R by just 1 point with their performance to Beyonce’s “Move your body”.

The whole school came together at the end of the morning for the finals, which kicked off with a Solo dance-off. 15 students came to the dance floor to show their moves, with Sofia 8C the overall winner.

The main event was immediately after, when 7M, 8T, 9C and 10M performed again in front of the whole school and the judges. The judges' final verdict was unanimous, with 8T being crowned Danceathon winners 2026!

Celebrating the 2026 Alix Bauldry Memorial Scholarship

This week, Camden School for Girls held its annual assembly for The Alix Bauldry Memorial Scholarship (ABMS). Founded by Jenny B. Davis in memory of her CSG best friend who tragically passed away from ovarian cancer in 1995, the award celebrates a friendship that began here at CSG in 1985.

The scholarship is awarded annually to Year 11 students who perfectly embody Alix’s spirit, showcasing exceptional tenacity, grit, humour, and style. Each of this year's four chosen winners receives a prize of £125, alongside lifelong membership in the inspiring community of past ABMS winners.

Massive congratulations to our incredible 2026 winners:

  • Aliyah G
  • Kitty D
  • Suzi D
  • Emma L

We are immensely proud of you all for continuing Alix's wonderful legacy of honesty, ambition, and creativity!

The winners’ speeches from the assembly are available for all to read.

Noah’s Ark Day

The Senior Prefect Team is running Camden’s very first Noah’s Ark day in support of the Noah’s Ark children’s hospice. Money will be raised by students coming in dressed in pairs of animals and participating in a conga around school and Camden! Please help our cause and raise as much money as possible for children in need. Thank you
