Year 9 English

Before the half term Year 9 were studying short stories by women, which ended with their own planning and writing of a short story. Here are two outstanding short stories written by Annabella and Nilima in Year 9, inspired by 'Tomorrow is Too Far' by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

CSG Summerfest 2023

Friday 23 June, 6-9pm

Only 2 weeks to go - there will be food, drinks, games, musical entertainment and a raffle as well as Battle of the Bands, Cake-Off and Virtual Pet Show.

Entry is free (or a £2 suggested donation). All welcome.

CAN YOU HELP MAKE IT A GREAT EVENT?

VOLUNTEERS - we need helpers to take a turn on the stalls. Email casca@csg.school if you can offer an hour on the night

RAFFLE – we already have a few prizes but would love donations towards this to make it the best ever raffle. For example, wine/champagne, unwanted gifts such as tech, toiletries or tickets to events; food hampers; donations from local shops; meals in restaurants.

BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE – beat the queues and help us have an idea of how many people are coming. Simply go to your Parentpay account and you will see the item ‘Summerfest tickets’

BUY PLENTY OF RAFFLE TICKETS – we want to make this a great fundraiser so please be generous and buy some raffle tickets. You can also do this through Parentpay; simply tell us how many tickets and make sure you leave your name and mobile number. You can collect the tickets on the evening of Summerfest, or we can phone you if you win and are not around! Follow this link to see what you can win so far.
