Year 8 Trip to the Globe Theatre

'The Tempest' trip to the Globe Theatre was a joyful, funny and exciting experience. We were very lucky to have the opportunity given by our teachers, Ms Trench, Ms Essery, Ms Neuburger and Ms Earnshaw-Punnett.

Some of the best parts were the outfits, especially the one worn by Prospero. The props and set designs were also amusing, as the Shakespeare play had modern day items such as flamingo pool floaties, rubber ducks and fast food packaging. My favourite bit was when Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo dressed up as characters from Harry Potter and quoted from it. The best characters in my opinion were Ariel, Caliban, Prospero, Trinculo and Stephano. This is because they were either hilarious, well acted or had a good plot line. While we were there it started to rain rather heavily and was almost as if we survived our own tempest. Overall it was well scripted, well acted and I am very happy our teachers took us.
