This week: Green for Grenfell, Feeding Camden, Former Student.
Green for Grenfell
Students and staff wore green on Friday to express their sorrow at the suffering of the many people affected by the Grenfell fire. We spent time thinking about the terrible loss of family members, friends and homes. The whole school community has been saddened by this awful event. We also raised money to send to the people who are affected. Students ran a cake sale and sold green ribbons as well as dressing up, and we wrote messages of hope on green post-it notes. We will let you know how much our students raised as soon as we’ve finished counting the cash.
Look out for coverage of ‘Feeding Camden’ - a charity supported by Camden School for Girls. Information has been sent to the press about the drive to assist foodbanks in their incredibly important work with vulnerable people and families in our very deprived borough.
Former student Olivia Ter-berg, after being spotted busking in York last year by the local radio DJ Jericho Keys, has been several times on the radio at gigs in Yorkshire and London and has made 2 tracks with Regent Street Productions (DA Productions) in Berwick Street.
This past week Olivia has been introducing ‘Artist of the Week‘ on all local BBC radio stations, on the programme BBC ‘Georgey Tonight’ (The link to the radio show is BBC Georgey Tonight)
She has also recorded a single - ‘Let Me In’ - which has been officially released now and the links to it are below-
How lovely to hear such good news of one of our former students – we wish her the very best with all her endeavours!
