    SummerFest thanks and Dance-a-thon fun.

    SummerFest 2017

A massive thank you to everyone who helped to make SummerFest 2017 such a great success! It was a wonderful event, with a festive summery atmosphere, with something for everyone. People's sunny smiles, hard work, amazing contributions and creative energy were what really made the night one to remember! It was great to see so many students, families and friends there.

People said: "A buzzing SummerFest with great music, food and drinks, fabulous prizes and plenty of entertainment for the younger ones!"  "Such a great event, with a totally lovely, relaxed atmosphere"

A HUGE THANKS to everyone (parents and students) who helped on the stalls and activities, and to all our fabulous donors - of fantastic prizes, delicious food and festive fun! We had the most amazing donations for the Silent Auction, Tombola and Raffle - thank you so much for your generosity. And of course big thanks too, to all the school staff who also helped make it such a success.

Thanks also to the fabulous Bands who provided the evening's musical entertainment - and our three wonderful judges, Kate, Sarah and Kate. First prize went to The Jays: "A delight from beginning to end, with no weak links"; 2nd prize to: Three's a Crowd: "Great song choices, great voices and great attitude"; and 3rd prize to Ginger and the Blondes: "A very tight band, with stunning singing from the lead singer". Thanks also to all the performers in Infinity, The Musicalities and Rachel & Georgia - all hugely praised by the judges - and to the Year 10 students who organised the Battle of the Bands so professionally.

It was a brilliant event for the whole school community. As well as being fun, it also made over £7,500 for the school - a record amount! That includes a stunning £3,858 from the Silent Auction - also a record!  So, great news for the school and for the students.

Lastly, thanks to the SummerFest team: Imogen, Maia, Greg, Barbara, Jo, Anna, Nicki, Anna, Harriet and Mary, who made it all happen.

    We hope you enjoyed it!

As part of our 60 for 60 fundraising campaign, the whole school will all be taking part in a fabulous 7-hour Festival Dance-a-thon on Friday 30 June. The aim is raise £12,500 to buy the ceiling tiles to help complete the school renovation – which is why we are calling it Raise the Roof!

Starting at 9am and ending at 4pm, there will be dance-offs between form groups, Dance Company flash mobs, prizes for the best dressed, teachers throwing shapes, a Bollywood dance lesson at lunchtime… and lots more fun on the day.

It couldn’t be easier to sponsor your girls to hit the dancefloor! You can donate £5 simply by texting the name of your daughter’s form group to 70507*. Each form will be competing to see who can raise the most – and the winning form gets a Pizza Party, so every text donation counts.

Please support your daughter and her friends today and text her form name to 70507*.

(If you’d rather give cash, there will be collection buckets on the day!)

    Thank you!
