SummerFest - just 3 weeks away!

Thanks to everyone who came along to our AGM and Parents' Forum. It was a sociable evening with delicious food from Mary and Andy's regular bar. David Hodgson, our lively and entertaining speaker, introduced us all to our personalities - are you a Sea Horse, a Barn Owl or a Lion, and are you open to giving it a go when asked to tie a knot in a tie without letting go of the tie? How you are affects how you interact with your children, and how high the sky is for them!

The new CASCA management team are:
Greg Klerkx, Chair; Imogen Sharp, Vice-Chair; Barbara Norden, Secretary; Harriet Smith and Maia Eugenieva jointly as Treasurer; and Anna Hamilton as Parent Engagement Coordinator.

We say goodbye and many thanks to Annette Elder and Sophie Dupre, though we don't think they're going far!  The Annual Report was circulated on ParentMail earlier this week; David's slides will be available to participants who want them. Many thanks to Kelly and Genevieve for organising such a fun Parents' Forum.

SummerFest - just 3 weeks away!

Our annual SummerFest is just 3 weeks away. It'll be a real festival spirit, and we have some great entertainment lined up for the whole family.

We're almost there, but we need some more help please - on stalls, with donations of LOTS OF PRIZES please and with baking cakes.

Just a few more parents to help out please! Email Maia at

The students would love these stalls... but we need people to run them:

    - Henna stall
    - Hair braiding stall

Silent Auction - unique, money-can't-buy prizes needed

Our Silent Auction is always popular - but it takes unique items to make it a brilliant success. So we're looking for donations of anything with a nice high-interest auction value...

    - event tickets
    - a piece of art or signed limited edition books
    - trips behind the scenes at a film studio
    - the chance to be an extra in a TV shoot
    - original designer clothes or jewellery
    - family tickets to London attractions

Experiences are great - and we're also after beautiful objects, limited edition things, event goodie bags....anything that will attract lots of attention and raise lots of money! Please email Nicki Longfoot if you can donate something at

Tombola and Raffle - urgent need for prizes please!

We're still very short of what's needed. There could be almost anything, provided that they are new and unused. Ideas include:

    - lots of bottles of alcohol please - wine, liqueur or spirits
    - perfume and make-up
    - bags and jewellery
    - toys and games
    - nick-nacks and bric a brac
    - glassware
    - chocolates and sweets

It's a great destination for all your unwanted gifts - remember this is to create fun and to raise money for your school!  Please send or bring any items ASAP to the School Reception - mark them for Raffle and Tombola please. Do email Anna at  with questions or information.

    Jam jars with lids please

Mary is making jam to sell and needs lots of jam jars, with lids. Please send them in to the school reception as soon as possible.

    Get baking soon....

We'll also need lots of cakes for the cake stall - they'll need to be there by 3pm on the day!

Thanks for your support! We're hoping for a great SummerFest with fun and fund-raising for the whole school community!
