    Gold Medal for Oscar

Once again we are incredibly proud to announce that Oscar Y12 (along with his team) have achieved the gold medal - Junior European Champion in Team Pursuit!!! Oscar is second from left on the picture.

They qualified earlier in the day with the fastest time to ride for a gold or silver medal and along the way, they broke the UK Junior national record in the team pursuit race!

    Oscar’s build up to success:

    • Friday News, 24 May 2019

In November we reported that our Y12 student, Oscar, had been selected for the British Cycling Junior Academy, one of only three boys in the country to be picked for the squad.

We are delighted to say that last weekend Oscar made it two wins in a row for the VC Londres team at the Cadence Junior Road Race in Brecon hills.  It was a huge win and now means he will have to be considered for the Junior World Championships in September.  This would take a huge amount of dedication and training and CSG is very proud of Oscar!

Following on from the article in our Friday News 24th May 2019 we are incredibly proud to announce that our Y12 student, Oscar, has been selected to compete in the European Championships in Ghent 8-14 July (the European Junior and Under 23 Track Cycling Championships)

This is hugely exciting – as Oscar is a year younger than all the other boys it is a huge honour.

    Well done Oscar!
