    Debating News - North London Regional Final

    On Tuesday 25 June Camden School for Girls hosted the North London Regional Final of the English Speaking Union’s London Debating Challenge.
    Five students from Year 9 (Martha, Ines, Lola, Emma and Lea) took part in three debates over the course of the afternoon;

    • This house would ban private health care
    • This house would give lifetime bans to all drugs cheats in sports
    • This house believes that the UK should heavily invest in new nuclear power stations.

    Our students did very well against the top schools from North London and judges commented on their good engagement with complicated issues and their confident approach to the debates.

    At the end of the day, the team from CSG were very pleased to hear that they had successfully made it through to the London Debate Challenge Final in Dartmouth House on Monday 1 July.

    This is a fantastic achievement for our students and really reflects the effort and enthusiasm they put in to debating.
