On Thursday 29 November, our Year 7s took part in the annual inter-form spelling competition. They have all been learning spelling patterns and having tests in their English lessons for the past few weeks and each class submitted one or two teams to the final to battle it out.
In an exciting and unusual final, we had 7R’s A team versus 7R’s B team. Their performance was phenomenal, as they spelt words like jeopardise, stichomythia and chihuahua correctly.
Our worthy winners, in the end, were 7R’s A team - Isla, Hamdi, Yusra and Alex. Well done to you!
The rest of the year group took part in four audience rounds and the winner of the Best Spelling Form went to 7C.
Well done to all our Year 7s for making it a fun and exciting event.
