This week: Students’ work, Free school meals

    Students' work in lockdown
I hope you enjoy this edition of the Friday News, which includes some fabulous work by students learning remotely. We are very aware of the limitations of lockdown learning, however, I hope you'll agree that these items demonstrate that students are being highly creative in their schoolwork, thinking about current political issues and pushing themselves to achieve to the very best of their ability. They're also cooking some delicious looking food! Well done to all those students whose work is included and to everyone else studying hard at home. Many thanks to their teachers as well for sending this work in for the Friday News - please keep it coming!

Free school meals and winter food support update
The Council’s Benefits Team, which is distributing the half-term winter food support vouchers directly to families have said that their bulk mail-out of vouchers for eligible families is due to start Wednesday, 10 February. This means that families should start receiving them from this weekend and into early next week.

    I wish you all a restful half-term.
