Thanks to Irene for her superb leadership of CASCA

I’m sure you will want to join me in thanking Irene for her exceptional leadership of CASCA for the past two years. Irene has now decided to stand down from this role and give another parent the opportunity to lead the way!

Irene has achieved so much over the past two years for the whole school community; parents, students, staff and friends of the school. Anyone who knows Irene will be aware that she is approachable, friendly and positive - as well as being determined, super-organised and inclusive. She inspires others to get involved, gives incredibly generously of her time and gets the balance absolutely right between fund-raising and promoting a sense of community.

Irene steered forward a brilliant programme of events during 2018 - 2019, and when COVID partially closed all schools she and the CASCA team did not give up - the 20 for 20 campaign was just exceptional and it demonstrated how much confidence the school community had in her as well as her exceptional ability to inspire generosity and a feeling of belonging.

I never under-estimate how much work goes into the role of leading CASCA and how much negotiation, persuasion and forward-planning is required.

I know Irene has felt well-supported by the CASCA committee and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them as well for being such an active team:
