Year 10 geography student, Maya, has been following the unsettling news from Nigeria, where police brutality has sparked protests across Lagos. However, eagle-eyed Maya spotted a very basic error in the reporting in the Guardian.
The error occurs in the first lines of their report: "More than 10,000 demonstrators flocked on to the streets of Nigeria’s capital city to join mounting protests against police brutality. Protesters clogged roads, bringing the centre of Lagos, the usually traffic-filled economic hub, to a standstill."
Can you spot the mistake? Maya has written to the Guardian's Africa editor to register her concerns.
