This week: COGA AGM, Black History Month, Covid-19 Symptoms and App
COGA AGM and lunch
It was wonderful to see COGA members on Saturday 3rd October via Zoom. While we were disappointed not to be in school, the virtual meeting enabled members to join from Canada and from across the UK who would not normally be there. We enjoyed hearing from committee members about COGA's strange pandemic year and we all brought along a piece of cake and a glass of something to toast COGA with at the end.
Black History Month
We are delighted to be celebrating Black History Month in school with a brilliant assembly on Monday from Mr Gunn, a really comprehensive reading list from Ms Green (attached below) and a range of activities provided by the Head Girl Team. We have some exciting breaking news too, which is that Camden Youth Council has also just announced they will be working with The Black Curriculum to bring a fascinating series of free online (Zoom) modules on Black History – covering Migration, Politics and the Legal System, Art History, Land and the Environment - to Camden children and young people (primary and secondary ages) starting from next Thursday (15 October).

Letter for parents about COVID-19 symptoms
PHE has produced a letter for schools to share with parents which explains when a child needs a test and what symptoms to look out for. There is also this graphic and this one for information.
Launch of NHS COVID-19 app
A quick reminder that the new NHS COVID-19 app is now available to download for free in England and Wales.
