    Headteacher commendations
I’m absolutely delighted that 265 commendations have been awarded to our students. This is particularly pleasing during the lockdown as it demonstrates how fully students are engaging with their learning at a time when they have lost the motivation provided by coming into school each day and actually seeing their teachers and friends. Look out for an envelope in the post - we’re sending them home!

    CAGs
Centre-assessed grades (CAGs) for Y11 and Y13 have now been agreed and sent off to the examination boards. This has been a very thorough and lengthy process - and it’s not over yet as the exam boards and Ofqual will now moderate all the grades they have received from schools in England. Students will receive their grades on Thursday 13th August (A level) or Thursday 20th August (GCSE).

Black Lives Matter - Reading recommendations from Ms Green
Many thanks to our librarian Ms Green, who has put together this list of recommended books by BAME writers:

Y10 and Y12 in school this week
It has been a real pleasure to welcome back many of our Y10 and Y12 students this week for face-to-face support, and attendance has been excellent. Students have been telling us how pleased they are to be coming in, as have teachers. We look forward to seeing more of them over the coming weeks.
