This week: MacMillan Coffee Morning, The Muslim News

    MacMillan Coffee Morning
On Friday 27th September our Studio was buzzing with activity as Mary Kavanagh and CASCA prepared for the MacMillan coffee morning. We were raising money for cancer sufferers in memory of our wonderful colleague and examinations officer, Donika, who passed away last year as a result of the illness. It was very moving to take a moment on Friday to remember Donika and to reflect on the warmth and cheerfulness she brought into the school.

We raised approximately £1,383, a fabulous sum of money and we are pleased and proud that it will contribute to the excellent work carried out every day by Macmillan volunteers.

Parents have been incredibly generous in donating delicious cakes and other items to the sale, and their kindness really made it a joyful occasion. Many thanks to all who contributed their time and excellent baking skills - it really is very much appreciated!

    The Muslim News
We are proud of the achievements of all our students, and were delighted to see that two of our students were highlighted in the Muslim News’ honour roll -  muslimnews.co.uk. This was for results in GCSEs with Fahmeena achieving grades 9 (x3) 8 (x5) 7 (x1) and Ishpa achieving grades 9 (x5) 8 (x2) 7(x2) 6 (x1) - Well done Fahmeena and Ishpa!
