This section of the website is for all Year 10 students. Year 10 is a crucial time for your studies.
During the year, three out of the five terms for GCSE work will be completed, vital marks from controlled assessments and tests will be achieved and a firm foundation for Year 11 laid down plus you will be doing your work experience in July.
Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge
The regional Final: Wednesday 27th November.
Deanna and Leah will represent CSG among other participating maintained schools in the regional final of the Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge at Maria Fidelis. They will speak in front of an average audience of 175 and be judged by a panel drawn from prominent people in the borough. The Regional Final will commence at 6 p.m. with refreshments, followed by the speech competition at 6.30. The event will finish at 8.30 p.m.
The winner may have an opportunity to get to the Grand Final in July.
Speakers Trust, a registered Charity, runs the programme with funding and support from the Jack Petchey Foundation.
Please come along and support our finalists, it will definitely help them on the night by boosting their confidence.
