The Channel Swim Science Lab Opening Ceremony

On Thursday 25 September, The Channel Swim Laboratory was officially opened by Lily, Millie, Minnie, Ella, Felicity and Madeleine. These six extraordinary girls who called themselves 6girlsnobuoys swam a relay from Dover to France in thirteen hours and six minutes on 1 September 2013. They raised £25,000 for the school, which has funded new computers in the library and made the refurbishment of one of our old science laboratories possible. It was lovely to welcome Poppy to the occasion as well, a student who completed much of the training with the six swimmers.

Our Sixth Form

We believe that the two years spent in the Sixth Form should be a pivotal period in the lives of our students: a time for maturing as well as developing academically, with many opportunities for rich and varied new experiences. We aim to foster in our students both self-confidence and an independence of mind so that they can approach their learning with vigour and enthusiasm.

Our success is reflected in our excellent exam results and rate of progression to Higher Education.
