Art is valued highly at Camden School for Girls. The faculty offers Fine Art, Photography and History of Art as A levels in the sixth form and it has a superb record of success with university and art school placements on the UK's most prestigious degree courses. 92 girls are currently studying Art GCSE, with 92 girls and boys pursuing Fine Art A level.
Art teaching and learning facilities are excellent with a purpose built studio, well-equipped pottery and outstanding display spaces in our school reception area which are currently being upgraded. The department hosts annual post-16 major exhibitions of students' work each year. The department runs a popular residential trip to a European city.
Camden is a successful school. We have been identified five times by government ministers as one of the top 100 schools in the country. The school has also been described as “outstanding” by Ofsted in March 2005 and again in December 2007.
