    Debating - Cambridge Schools London Regional Round

    New College of Humanities in Bloomsbury.

    On Sunday 5 February Mr Gunn accompanied six debaters (Hannah, Bluebelle, Conrad, Chilli, Jacob and Adam) to the New College of Humanities in Bloomsbury where they took part in the first round of the Cambridge schools debating competition.

    The motions for the day were as follows;

    - This house regrets the existence of tabloid journalism.
    -
    This house believes that environmental policy should be decided by unelected experts rather than by elected officials.
    -
    This house would pay reparations to the descendants of slaves.

    Although none of our teams made it through, they did very well debating these varied and difficult topics and received excellent feedback from judges.
