The Design and Technology department hosted a talk by a former Camden Girl: Lily Mathiszig-Lee.
She came back to CSG to talk to students interested in career opportunities where they can use their skills in creativity and making.
Lily presented some of the wonderful and bizarre props and sets she has worked on in the film and television industry including productions such as Beauty and the Beast and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
There was an excellent turn-out to this lunch-time talk and pupils learnt about the route she took from studying DT and realising her passion as a maker, to degree level courses they could consider. Lily was an inspiration, stressing to the girls the importance of personal attributes when working freelance and giving them tips on how to enter this industry. It’s always great to hear from ex-students and how they’ve progressed since leaving school!
