Welcome back and a few important things....
Welcome back to school year and we hope you had a lovely summer. We've got lots of social events planned this year, as always, and we look forward to seeing you soon. To the new Year 7 and 6th form parents, a big welcome from CASCA, the parent-community association! We hope you'll come along and get involved - we've met many of you at the introduction evening last term and will be there at the welcome evenings this term. Do come and say hello - we're a friendly team!
CASCA EVENTS - dates for your diary this term:
- CASCA Open Meeting: Wednesday 11 October
- More@Moro fundraising evening: Monday 16 October
- Jumble Sale: Saturday 11 November
- Parents' Forum: Tuesday 28 November
- Book Fair: Friday 8 December 2017 & Saturday 9 December
GET READY FOR MORE@MORO - a unique fundraising event to support CSG
More@Moro will be a fabulous evening of celebration at the legendary Moro restaurant on Monday 16 October. Moro founders, Sam & Sam Clark (CSG parents), are generously donating their beautiful restaurant for the evening … including all the delicious Moorish food, wine and service for 130 people. Tickets for the sumptuous event will be £150 per head - this includes all food, drink, entertainment. And … here's the key!... because of the amazing generosity of all at Moro, EVERY penny raised will go towards supporting the school. More@Moro is a key event in our 60 for 60 campaign.
We'll be selling tickets - on a first come first served basis - via your ParentPay account. Camden School for Girls is a unique comprehensive school and the money raised will benefit all the students.
JUMBLE SALE: Saturday 11 November - save the date and save your stuff!
...please make a note in your diary that our spectacular annual Jumble Sale is on Saturday 11 November and we'll need JUMBLE and VOLUNTEERS for it. The event made over £7,500 for the school last year and we hope to do even better this year! We'll need lots and lots of things to sell (clothing, bags and belts, bric-a-brac, books and toys, electrical goods, etc etc), so if you're doing a post-summer clear out, please put the stuff aside. We'll also need helpers to set up on the Friday, and to help out on the day. Look out for more on ParentMail over the next weeks....
Estate Agent's Boards
Thank you to everyone who signed up to host a board from local estate agent Martyn Gerrard, to help raise money for the school and support our 60 for 60 fundraising campaign. We really appreciate it.
Best wishes and we hope to see you at an event soon,
Greg, Imogen, Barbara, Anna, Maia and Harriet
