    Jack Amiel Science Award

This year's winner of the Jack Amiel Science Award is Phoebe in Y13.

I am delighted to announce that this year's winner of the Jack Amiel Science Award is Phoebe in Y13. Jack Amiel's family very generously set up the award in memory of Jack after his death - Jack was a sixth form student in this school and he was an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic scientist, reading neuroscience at The University of Edinburgh. The award provides the winner with a cheque for £250 to support the recipient in their studies, perhaps by purchasing textbooks and equipment.

Phoebe has been an outstanding student throughout her time with us, studying A levels in chemistry, physics and mathematics. She is now going to Queen Mary College to study Chemical Engineering.

Phoebe is enthusiastic, dedicated and determined, and we know she will flourish in a university environment. We wish her every success and happiness, and pass our thanks to Jack's family for their warm support of our scientists.
