Guys and Dolls - July 2017
Our production of Guys and Dolls in July was funny, fast-paced, beautifully acted and a real delight for the eyes and ears!! The music made the whole show flow along with great energy.
Sixth formers and younger students alike added professionalism, poise and confidence, with performances from all assured and captivating.
As always, such productions allow us to see a very different side of our students and they contribute to their sense of teamwork and their enjoyment of creative work. A fantastically enjoyable evening for everyone!

Chamber Music Concert - December 2016
The concert included fine jazz performances from the Big Band with ‘On Green Dolphin Street’ and ‘St Thomas’, and from the Jazz Band with ‘Milestones’ and ‘Perdido’. Classical pieces included Lydia playing Chopin’s Minute Waltz, Thomas playing Michl’s ‘Concerto in F minor’ and Dolly and Ruby singing Vivaldi’s ‘Laudamus Te’.
We heard ‘Please Please Me’, ‘Jealous’ and ‘Super Trouper’ from the Sixth Form Singers, Nyibol and Three Little Birds, and generated some Christmas spirit with the Chamber Choir singing Britten’s Festival of Carols, and ‘White Christmas’ from the Three Little Birds.
The Tempest - December 2016
Our school hall was transformed into a remote island for the Sixth Form production of Shakespeare’s late play.
The play was transposed to a sixties, psychedelic context with beautiful, flowing ‘Tempstock’ costumes and appropriate music from the era.
